The primary interaction between Clubs and the Referees Society is the scheduling of referees for club matches. For clubs, the most important contacts at the Referee Society are the Director of Assignments and the four Area Coordinators, who have responsibility for referee assignments in specific geographic areas. If you have any questions or issues about how to conduct business with the Society, start with your Area Coordinator or the Director of Assignments.
- Area Coordinators and the Director of Assignments
- Submitting your club’s match schedule and requesting referees
- Communicating with assigned referees
- What to do if no referee is assigned to your match
In addition to scheduling referees, there are several other ways in which clubs interact with the Referees Society:
- By requesting referees, Clubs agree to abide by the Society’s Code of Conduct;
- Clubs can provide constructive feedback through evaluation of match referees;
- Each year the Referee Society awards the Hayes Award, a cash prize to the club that offers the best treatment of referees on and off the pitch.
NERFU also has some requirements for member clubs that are important to the Referees Society
