General Pattern of Play |
| Concerns for the scrums prior to the match were taken in affect due to size and possible experience levels of the front row players. After the first scrum, it was a safe and stable engagement. Overall play was dominated by AICs forwards, while UM stood their ground; both teams were managable. |
Detailed Report of Incident |
| Second half play UM had some strong plays and continued to play hard despite the score. A scuffle occurred away from the ball and behind the play, apparently Blue 6 and Black 14 had been pushing one another. Captains were told to warn their teams that fighting will not be tolerated. There was another scuffle with fist flying between AIC 2 and UM 23 away from the play but directly in front of my view. Both players were red carded for the dangerous play fighting/punching. |
