Weather and Field Conditions
Turf field with lots of lines on it. We experienced much weather variety.

General Pattern of Play
Lots of multiple phases from both sides. Plenty of running, passing, and tackling. Few handling errors but quite a few penalties at breakdown as players learned from me what their coaches have been telling them--rugby is played on your feet!

Detailed Report of Incident
Mr. Nigro was on the deck after missing a tackle and he swiped his leg at the ball carrier. I blew a hard whistle, explained that tripping is not a part of rugby, and showed him a yellow card. He indicated that he understood and returned to the match 10 minutes later, distinguishing himself with many courageous and legal tackles.
