Detailed Report of Incident
Norwich #16 had just tackled a much smaller Middlebury back in the open field after a kick, and the tackler took exception to something (perhaps thought the tackle was late or high, neither was the case) and as both were returning to their feet away from the next phase of play, gave the Norwich #16 a small push in anger/frustration. Norwich #16, returned by grabbing the Middlebury player and literally throwing him, tumbling to the ground (did not injure the player, and I think even he was surprised by his own strength). This blew up into a short pushing match among several of the players on both teams (no punches or serious exchanges, simply small pushes). When asked if he was the player who through Middlebury player #13 down to the ground (as Norwich #16 looks like another player on his team and I was afraid I may punish the wrong player), he responded, 'no sir, I threw #14 to the ground!' and left the pitch without dissent. The rest of the match was played in good spirits.
