Weather and Field Conditions
Due to the snow on their normal pitch this match was played on the (snow free) turf football field under the lights. The temperature was in the upper 30s, the wind was blowing from the south toward the north touchline, and swirling winds made high kicks move unpredictably.
General Pattern of Play
Springfield had been penalized many times in the first half mostly on ruck infractions. They had also been penalized once for dissent. This allowed Colby territorial advantages on which they had yet to capitalize.
Detailed Report of Incident
Springfield #11 had just be penalized for playing the ball on the ground. Chris was actively argued this call (despite having been penalized for this previously and before the game warned that this type of behavior would not be tolerated). He was penalized for dissent and then he continued to argue. He was sent off for 10 minutes.
