Brown University: 41    : 5

It was a wonderful evening of rugby in Providence with sounds of the Brown football team roaring in the background, but there was still a great turnout for the 2nd-side rugby match. The teams agreed on 12-a-side for the first half due to a lack of sufficient numbers and wanting to get some newer players some quality experience in playing. Overhearing some warm-up talk, it seemed that UPenn wanted to bring as much grit to the match even though they weren't sure how they would fare. Both teams definitely put up a fight, but it was a fun match to be part of. Brown came out strong breaking through the UPenn defensive line, moved the ball well and came away with 4 trys in the first half, only missing one conversion. Aggression was mounting and I had to pull the UPenn captain aside to speak with him about the amount of penalties his team was committing that could have interrupted advancements from Brown. They were responsive and it got better moving forward. Second half favored Brown yet again, where they made 3 more trys, however no successful conversions. UPenn did not give up and toward the end of the match, they managed their own try. Final score 41-5 for Brown.
