This was a very different game. The game was closely contested by both teams right until the end and the outcome was in play right up to the last minute. The second half was delayed several times because of serious injuries with 4 possible concussions. Both the medical team and coaches did a great job adapting to these challenges but in terms of appropriate replacement of players and not taken any risks.

The game was very competitive but strong forward play - particularly in the scrums. The teams has to re-organize the forwards and it was only towards the end of the game were the scrums unsteady. I thought the players did a great job in been focused on safety first.

The scoring sequence was:

Home T 4 mins Away T 14 mins Away T 21 mins Home T&C 57 mins Home T 79 mins

Finally, the home team had two yellow cards for the same infraction - not retiring 10 yards for a penalty and then tacking the penalty taker.

Apart the injuries, it was an enjoyable game to ref.
