Match Report for

Boston College Women (1st) vs. University of Rhode Island Women (1st)
02 October 2016

Location: The field is directly across from 129 Lake St, down a hill past the parking lot.

Boston College Women: 63    University of Rhode Island Women: 12

Rhody collectively flexed a few times during the match to apply greater than average pressure on the BC women's team. A couple of these times, URI's increased intensity resulted in tries. The other times, BC was able to bend but not break. The story of this match, though, was the BC backs (especially #13), whose downhill running and disciplined lines of attack shredded the URI defense. All of these players are good ball handlers under pressure. They are tall and athletic and they all attack to gaps at pace, forcing defenders to execute committed tackles or get turnstiled. In contact, the BC backs offload, which put URI's backs under tremendous pressure. If they defend as well as they attack, they will be hard to beat.
