Match Report for

Saint Michael's College (1st) vs. Roger Williams University (1st)
22 October 2016

Location: Rugby field by 300s townhouses, accessible from either entrance to campus.

Saint Michael's College: 8    Roger Williams University: 41

It had rained heavily all night and was just 45 degrees. But fortunately during the match there was only a steady mist. The match was played on St Mike's full sized (and soft--due to the rain) pitch in the middle of the campus. Lead by its captain and extremely tough runner #8 Roger Williams lead at the half 22-3 with 4 tries, one converted. In the second half Roger Williams scored a try quickly and continued to dominate the match lead by its #2 and #10 , scoring 3 tries, converting two. St Mike's never gave up and right at the end of the match Roger Williams tapped a linoeut back to its scrum half but the tap was errant and St. Mike's pounced on it in the try zone to get an uncoverted try and at least soemthing to celebrate about. While at times a bit scrappy due to the weather conditions overall a good match played with great spirit and sportsmanship by both teams.
