A well contested match, where the score did not necessarily reflect the standard of play of the losing team. Colby Sawyer won due to good counter-rucking, winning most of the 50-50 balls, and poor tackling on occasion by Maine. However, the skill levels of both sides was good, as was discipline. Despite the comparative smaller size of their players, Colby Sawyer had excellent technique. Coaches of both teams deserve credit. It was a pleasure to referee these teams.
