This match started out fierce and hard with a lot of back and forth. Trinity made a break through to score the first try of the match after seven minutes, with their kicker cleanly scoring the conversion. In the eleventh minute the scrum-half of Trinity college made a late tackle with no attempt to wrap on a Williams college player who had just kicked the ball. He was sent of with a yellow card for a dangerous tackle and Trinity had to compete with only fourteen men for the next ten minutes. They were able to prevent Williams college from scoring any points during that time. But a couple minutes after their scrum-half returned Williams college did score there first try and added the conversion to level the score at seven points a each. Some five minutes later Williams college was awarded a penalty in front of the goal posts and decided to kick for goal. Their kicker easily made the points and Williams College took the lead. Five minutes later, four minutes before half-time, Trinity was able to break through for another try. Their kicker converted again and they were four points in the lead at half-time. The second half was dominated by Trinity college, with them scoring a Try close to the sideline three minutes into the half. Trinity's kicker proved that he is indeed human by missing that conversion. Trinity college managed to score four more tries and their kicker refused to miss any further conversions. Williams college was getting increasingly desperate, but were not able to score any further points.
