Match Report for

Boston vs. (1st)
29 April 2017

Location: Moakley

Boston: 40    : 33

Princeton AC toured up to South Boston on a glorious day. They counterattacked well and jumped out to a 14-0 lead. Penalties became their undoing and Boston slugged back with three tries to go ahead 21-14. Another Princeton score leveled things at half. At that point the strategies seemed clear. Boston would leverage their power in the forwards and occasional breaks from the backs, while Princeton would rely on their speed to counter, kick ahead, and try to retrieve. This led to a frantic finish when Princeton broke out of their own 22 to race for an apparent try as time expired. Sadly, the Princeton winger became confused by the field markings and managed to place the ball down 2 meters from goal instead of crossing the line and running under the posts. Boston recovered the ball and took the 40-33 victory. Good fun had by all, and did I mention the fantastic weather?
