Beantown: 32    : 17

Beantown hosted the traveling DC Furies in a spring friendly at Amesbury Sports Park. The Furies traveled light, and filled out their 13.5 person squad with some help from North Shore and Beantown. In spite of their light numbers, the Furies definitely came to play. The game started at a furious pace, and the Furies were the stronger team in the first half, scoring 3 tries to Beantown's 1 try. The Furies lost an influential flyhalf to injury for the second half, as well as spent 10 minutes down a player for cynical goal line play. Beantown found their strength in set pieces and rolling mauls, and were able to dominate for much of the second half. They scored 5 tries, letting in none by the Furies. Full time score: Beantown 6T, 1C; Furies 3T, 1C.
