Match Report for

Harvard University (1st) vs. (1st)
01 April 2017

Location: Harvard Mignone Field

Harvard University: 12    : 45

New England at its best: 32F, wind, snow, and 2 rugby teams ready to play rugby no matter how cold and painful this game was going to be. Thankfully no frozen toes, fingers or amputations have been reported.

McGill took an early lead scoring a try (not converted) and putting pressure on Harvard's defense with quick passes and immediate support on each ruck. But Harvard were able to come back and scored 2 tries (1 converted) and ended up the first half in the lead (12-5).

The second half saw McGill dominate and score a series of converted tries, all unanswered by the home team. McGill used their dominant scrum as a platform to win this game, adding to a high number of missed tackles by Harvard. (12-45 final score)

The physical and mental strength of both teams was remarkable given the weather conditions. Discipline and spirit was excellent throughout.

Referee: Antoine Galou
