Match Report for

South Shore Anchors (1st) vs. Portland (1st)
22 April 2017

Location: No location provided

South Shore Anchors: 49    Portland: 7

On another beautiful New England spring day (47 degrees, rain), South Shore and Portland gave it all they had to create en enjoyable game of rugby. The score (7 tries, all converted for South Shore, vs. 1 converted try for Portland) reflects a game that the home team dominated from the kick-off. While Portland showed a solid scrum and had a few opportunities to score (especially in the first half), they lost too many line-outs and missed too many tackles to pause a serious threat. South Shore were able to vary their game and tries came from mauls, open play combinations or solitary raids by their backs. Both team showed great discipline overall.
