Match Report for

Champlain College vs. Lyndon State College
22 October 2017

Location: The UVM Rugby Pitch is located immediately after the Sheraton Hotel in Burlington right off of the interstate exits. After the hotel parking lot and before the field, there is an entrance to a dirt parking lot that is available for rugby use.

Champlain College: 70    Lyndon State College: 12

Sunny and windy conditions. Champlain was much more organized with their attack--6 first haf tries 2 conversions and then 6 2nd half tries 3 conversions. Lyndon showed athleticism, stole or spoiled most lineouts and held a few goal line stands but couldn't keep possession or find the space as well las their hosts. One 1st half try at the 38th minute (converted) and a second half try worthy of the blooper/highlight reel...a forward's failed clearing kick was taken by the wind, went backwards and was caught by his fullback. Who then avoids tackles, in his own in goal, and runs 100+meters to score.

Referee: Mark Kanya
