Match Report for

Babson College (1st) vs. Trinity College (1st)
16 September 2017

Location: No location provided

Babson College: 3    Trinity College: 10

The game took place on a hot and humid Saturday afternoon. Babson pitch was in pristine condition.

Both teams played a physical, hard fought game. Contact level was low and both team featured strong runners.

As often happens early in the year, ball handling was a massive issue. I would estimate that there were upwards of 20+ scrums each half, the majority coming from unforced ball handling errors.

Trinity took an early lead by breaking the Babson defensive line and scoring an early try. Babson responded by taking the ball down and converting a penalty kick in front of the post. 7-3 half.

The second half was similar to the first with lots of ball handling mistakes on both sides. Trinity was able to convert a PK at 67 minutes to go up 10-3. Babson had a chance to score and tie Trinity with close to no time remaining but committed another ball handling error 5 meters from the try line. Trinity won the scrum and kicked the ball to touch to end the game.
