SCORE

Warm afternoon match. First half, cloudy with a hint of rain. Second half, sun burst out and it was a gorgeous afternoon.

A game of two players, both #20s. One, Curry played center and captained the squad. Second, #8 for St. Anselm, who was playing his third rugby match after deciding football wasn't for him this fall. Both players entertained the spectators and kept their sides scoring points.

Curry led 19-7 at half with Curry running in three tries, converting two. St. Anselm responded with a converted try of their own courtesy of #20.

St. Anselm opened the second half with an opportunistic try from their scrum half leaving a few Curry players wondering where he went. The conversion made it 19-14 and game on.

St. Anselm tied it up with another fine run by their #20. Curry responded with three unconverted tries of their own before #20 from St. Anselm scored again on another long run. With the score 34-26, Curry was able to score three more tries, converting one. Two by their own #20 who had a number of long runs.

Final score 46-26. Great match with the future for both schools looking good. Thank you to both team's captains and coaches for providing a great example of good rugby for the spectators.
